Those clients who have attended a previous Step I Accreditation Training and who would like to become Step II accredited need only attend the last day of our current MBTI Certification Programme.
The MBTI® Step II instrument (Form Q) builds on the insights provided by Step I, introducing a unique and complex understanding of personality, which enables clients to explore a multiplicity of individual variations within type. All training delegates get to complete the Form Q themselves, immediately giving people first hand insight into the process and value of the report.
Step II is particularly effective in leadership development and executive coaching as the MBTI Step II instrument breaks down each dimension of the Step I types into five facets, giving individuals a more detailed appreciation of their type. This approach can highlight how people of the same Step I type can be different, and explore similarities between people with contrasting Step I preferences.
In summary, this training is for those who wish to take their understanding and interpretation of the MBTI instrument to the next level.
By completely the one day training you become an internationally qualified practitioner of the MBTI Step II instrument, allowing you to purchase and administer the questionnaire, interpret the results and conduct feedback sessions with candidates.
Thereafter you are able to:
- use the instrument in teambuilding, one-to-one development and many more applications, and
- build on work done with the MBTI Step I instrument framework, exploring and interpreting unique personality in depth.
A very brief overview of the training day includes:
- Development and uses of Step II
- Understanding the Step II Report
- Step I type, verified type
- Introduction to the 20 facets (E–I; S–N; T–F; J–P facets)
- Using Step II with teams
- Interpretation practice
- Case studies
In our experience we have found that being ‘Step II accredited’ allows one a competitive edge in the market. When you are dealing with clients who have experienced MBTI Step I before, you are able to bring new personality insights and ‘texture’ to the table.
