Readucate/Rebecca Ostrowiak Reading Programme

The Readucate programme, by Rebecca Ostrowiak and Edna Freinkel, is a simple home literacy programme which can be used by any teacher, parent or anyone reasonably fluent in English to teach a child or adult to read English.  All the basics such as reading, writing, spelling, memory training and comprehension are covered.  The course is highly flexible and ideally suited for teaching preschool children to high school pupils, adults with reading and spelling problems, and English second language.

Two forms of optional training are available:

  • A half-day orientation to ‘Readucate’ – the Rebecca Ostrowiak Home Reading Programme. (price available on request)
  • An intensive eight-day course designed to accredit the delegates as ‘Readucate Instructors’. (R6 500)

Successful completion of the eight-day training entitles the delegate to establish Readucate Centers to teach children and adults the Readucate language/communication/reading/life and study skills course.
