Target Audience: Anyone with an interest in spending quality time with their children.
Synopsis of Training
Our aim is to empower all parents and teach them simple, effective and fun actitivites that they can do with their children. Our workshop will cover:
- Creating an awareness of how to encourage the development of your child.
- A fundamental synopsis of Gross and Fine Motor Development of your child.
- Visual Perceptual Development of your child.
- Fundamental synopsis of Language Development of your child.
- To analyse basic games and activities with regards to the value they can add to a child’s enhancement.
- Understanding the importance of creative play.
- Hands on experience of the Creative Fingers Workbook.
- The significance of this workbook, for your child, during the acquisition of the essential skills for formal learning.

CV of the Trainers
Wilma Steinmann – Qualified as an Occupational Therapist in 1977 at Pretoria University. She is qualified as a Neuro Developmental Therapist and has completed many courses in Sensory integration. She has worked in the field of paediatrics for many years and is currently head of Department at Delta Park School. She has presented many lectures on various topics in the field of education and child development.
Elsje Shellard – Qualified as an Occupational Therapist in 1975 at Stellenbosch University. She worked in the field of paediatrics in hospitals, private practise and schools, where she is still currently practising. She has completed and attended many courses on Sensory Integration and has used this successfully in combination with other techniques in the treatment of children with developmental difficulties.
