Training
The JvR Training Academy proudly presents our 2010 offering. You will find a host of new and interesting learning opportunities and we look forward to welcoming you at our events. To get an overview of our offering we have divided it into the
8 facets of the jvr training academy
1. Assessment Accreditation – Compulsory or Voluntary
JvR offers both international and national accreditation training, ensuring the highest levels of practitioner competence and cutting-edge knowledge. Some of these trainings are compulsory requirements, as set out by our suppliers, others are voluntary trainings that will set you apart from the pack. For international visitors to our trainings, ask us about our ‘Safari’ Training packages.
2. JvR’s CPD programme
JvR’s annual development plan provides you with a choice of learning events to gain valuable and applicable information for your areas of expertise while earning your 30 Continued Educational Units (CEU’s) for the year. They are: 1-2 day Workshops, DVD Sessions (FREE), and Discussion Groups (FREE).
Please note that our 2009 CPD offering was accredited with CEUs. Official notification of the point status for 2010 is still pending from the HPCSA CPD Committee.
3. The JvR International Lecture Series (ILS)
2010 is a year to showcase our beautiful country. Every year we invite international speakers to share their knowledge with us, and this year is no exception. Do not miss this great opportunity to witness something new.
4. Skills Development
Assessment and feedback is but the start of the process. Once the tests have been used and areas in need of development have been identified often follows the question ‘Now what?” Our Skills Development Unit at JvRC will share the programmes to equip you to answer this question.
5. JvR’s Lecturer Train-the-Trainer Programme
Showing our commitment to the academics of today and the professionals of tomorrow, JvR has a ‘train-the-trainer’ programme where lecturers can become accredited to officially train their students on three assessments.
6. In-house training for Africa
Let us come to you. Most of the learning opportunities mentioned can be run throughout Africa. Please note a minimum number of 10 delegates is required.
7. E-learning
Not everyone has the time or luxury to attend training events. E-learning is an accessible, affordable option that brings the learning to you. What you need, when you need it. This is a new division for us, so all feedback is welcome as we meet you in cyberspace.
8. Knowledge Centre
Please visit our blogsite to access a whole world of extra information. Benchmark yourself against national and international experts in their fields, and contribute to this open source resource.
