FAQ’s

Can I earn CPD points?

JvR offers a CPD Programme where you can earn CEU’s through one or two day workshops, DVD session and Discussion Groups.  We cover a wide range of topics so hopefully there will be something of interest for everyone.  We also make a point of offering a new ethics workshop every year to encourage people to earn their annual and compulsory 6 ethics CEU’s.

What is JvR’s Cancellation and Postponement Policy?

All cancellations or postponements must be confirmed in writing and e-mailed to training@jvrafrica.co.za.

  • Cancellations 10 to 5 working days prior to the event will attract a 25% cancellation fee.
  • Cancellations received less than 5 working days prior to the event will result in a 50% cancellation fee.
  • No shows will attract a 100% cancellation fee.

Maximum permissible interest will be levied on any outstanding invoices. You are however welcome to substitute your attendance with an appropriately qualified colleague.  Postponement to a later date must be received in writing no less than 5 working days prior to the initial event in order to waive the cancellation fee.  This waiver will only be applicable once.

In the event of unforeseen circumstances, JvR reserves the right to change the programme content, the speakers, the venue or the date.  Delegates will be notified of changes or cancellations of events no later than 5 working days prior to the event.

Does JvR offer In-house Training?

Yes we do, although we do need a minimum of 10 delegates to attend the training event.

What qualifications do you need to attend a JvR training event?

For South Africans, the academic qualification required for most of our accreditation trainings is a current HPCSA registration as a Registered Counsellor, Psychometrist or a Psychologist.  However, please check with our coordinators as some events do not carry this prerequisite.  In addition, people not working in South Africa fall under international guidelines which differ from South African requirements.

What is the Supervising Psychologist Form for?

If you are a Psychology student, an intern or a Psychometrist in Supervised Practise you will need to complete a Supervising Psychologist form before gaining access to applicable trainings and/or assessments.
